THE Coolangatta Gold is one of the most grueling physical events on the planet and it is now run annually on the beaches of the Gold Coast in Australia. At 46.65km it is the longest surf ironman race in the world.

Each year the event continues to grow in popularity with hundreds of competitors taking part in individual and team events from Australia, Japan, South Africa, New Zealand, France, Britain and the US.
